    Still a developing reality!

    Benjamin: The last official update on this project was in May 2017 on the Seattle Parks website: www.seattle.gov/parks/about-us/current-projects/cheasty-mountain-bike/pedestrian-trail-pilot-project The project is still a developing reality at this time, but it has been slower than desired due to politics. Stay tuned to this page for news over the coming months.

    Aha. Thought I hadn't seen an update in a while. Worried it's 5-10 out still and with quickly growing kiddos on bikes was hoping they'd have an opportunity to play in the neighborhood - we're Beacon locals. But alas we will still slog up to Duthie or down to Swan Creek for the foreseeable future.

    SATURDAY is our monthly work part at Cheasty Main! Meet at Vista View Park at 9am for breakfast and Tin Umbrella coffee (or hot cocoa), and then we'll go after a section in the woods above Vista View Park. Wear your boots and work clothing, we've got the tools and gloves.

    Breakfast: 9am
    Party wraps up: 12pm

    As the days get shorter and nights grow longer, we walk together carrying lanterns to celebrat the bright spirit of our community!

    The annual Lantern Walk welcomes everyone to walk and sing and strengthen our community ties walking as one through Rainier Vista and the HazelNut Loop Trail in Cheasty Greenspace at Mt. View. Music and luminarias and forest ushers will make this fun for all!

    Free lantern making workshop takes place before the walk from 4 to 6pm in Central Park [Lantern making workshops also take place on Nov 3 in Rainier Vista at 4:30pm, and Nov 4 at Eileen Fisher RENEW at 10:30am] Join us for hot cider and snacks and a bonfire after the walk!
