Be on the look out!Who knows what this bad boy is?? 🙋⠀

It's wild carrot’s poisonous cousin, poison-hemlock (Conium maculatum). ☠⠀

Earlier this year the King County Noxious Weeds Board decided to upgrade poison-hemlock's classification. It is now required to remove poison-hemlock on public properties around the county. What does this change mean for you? Click the link below to read our poison-hemlock blog post. Here, we help you understand exactly how to identity poison-hemlock (spoiler: it's got some very similar looking look-a-likes), and what to do if you find some. ⠀

Cheasty Trails and Bike Park

The vision for safe and welcoming access, and responsible recreation to and within the the natural world *within the city* has been long-held. Today we might actually be at the end of a seven year delay-process!

Send out some good vibes for a reality that sees kids and families playing in the woods, running and biking on trails, and enjoying all the benefits of being in nature without the [prohibitive] cost of leaving the city. At its heart, this project is about restoration at all levels and various points of critical intersection.Seattle Parks and Recreation is in day 2 of mediation with the people in opposition to this project. Please light a candle, pray, do a wheelie, whatever positive energy you can spare, emit it towards the vision of a thriving wooded parkland including Seattle's first forested mountain biking trails! Yep, as we delay I see some more piles of trash and blankets built up as I walk the path, I won't walk the path alone right now. If more were using the trail it would be safer...... can not ever understand opposition to this.

☺️

Please keep Washington Student Cycling League posted and let us know if we can help in any way.

Sending positive bike vibes!!!!

Would supportive emails sent to any specific email address be helpful?
