Join us for the 10th annual Green Seattle Day!
Saturday, November 7th @ 9am
Parks throughout Seattle, including Cheasty Greenspace!
For this event volunteers will be meeting at the Rainier Community Center, 4600 38th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118. Registration, with coffee and snacks, will open at 8:30am. Green Seattle Partnerhsip will provid buses to transport volunteers to and from the planting site at Cheasty Greenspace Mt View.
Join hundreds of volunteers planting thousands of trees and other plants in parks throughout the City that will grow up to be the next generation of our urban forest. Green Seattle Day is a celebration of the forest that makes this the Emerald City. Help us keep it that way!
This family-friendly planting day is great for all ages, and no experience is necessary. We’ll bring the plants, tools, gloves, coffee, and snacks. You’ll get a great work-out, spend some time outside in a beautiful park, and feel great knowing that you spent the morning doing something good for your community and our urban environment. Bring friends and family with you, or meet new friends as you work together in your neighborhood park.
Everyone can help – sign up to volunteer now! Advance registration really helps us to plan the best event we can for all of our volunteers.
Dress warmly for the weather – we will be out rain or shine – and wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes that can get dirty and wet. Bring a water bottle and reusable coffee mug if you have them. We will have coffee to fill up, and some snacks to keep you going!
Register early to volunteer at Cheasty Greenspace at www.greenseattle.org. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to sign up early. It really helps us plan the best event possible, and some popular sites will fill up.
